Chi-Fang Wu

Hi, my name is Chi-Fang. I joined UPGG in 2008. I come from Tainan, a city in southern Taiwan which is famous for its historic spots and delicious food. I did my undergraduate study in National Chiao Tung University majoring in Biological Sciences. After that, I received a M.S. from National Yang-Ming University in Taipei and worked two years as a research technician. During my four-year research experience, I characterized biochemical properties and functional importance of a novel telomerase RNA binding protein, Imp4p, in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
As I was working on telomerase complexes, my specific interests in RNA biology and chromosome studies gradually emerged. I chose UPGG because of its diversity and flexibility that allow me to explore my interested topics in a variety of model systems. The faculty and students in UPGG are friendly and supportive. I am glad to join this big family.
In my leisure time I enjoy tasting and cooking various kinds of cuisines, reading recipes, and playing volleyball.
