Jamie Weyandt

Hi, my name is Jamie Weyandt, and I came to Duke from Dunlo, PA, a very small town in western Pennsylvania. I graduated from Shippensburg University with degrees in biology and medical technology and spent several years working in clinical laboratories before following my interests in research.

I came to Duke because of the great selection of laboratories and resources. I am very interested in the genetics of human disease, and look forward to choosing a lab in which to do my research.

Aside from science, Durham is a great place to live with plenty of outdoors activities. I am also looking forward to a winter without shoveling snow!
