Megan Orloski

Hey! My name's Megan and I am currently ('07-'08) a first year grad student in the UPGG program. I'm just rotating around right now to find what I specifically want to do, but I'm generally interested in human disease-related genetics. I went to Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, (I know, a whole lot of unknowns in one sentence, sorry) where I was in the honors program and double majored in biology and chemistry and had an unofficial physics minor. I'm cool like that. I came to Duke for about two dozen reasons, but mostly because of the awesome campus atmosphere (lacking at Heidelberg), the endless opportunity in my field, the location in the US and proximity to beaches and mountains. In my 'off-time' I like to try new things, being outside, or being (very) social. I like pandas, tattoos, fun, stars, and genetics (surprise). I dislike cockroaches, extreme heat, and snow. =)
