Hi! I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2003, and came to Duke University in 2004 through the umbrella CMB Program. I decided to affiliate with UPGG because of the program's overall flexibility, along with the great faculty support of its students.
I recently switched into Beth Sullivan's lab, which is interested in both the genetic and epigenetic aspects of centromere biology. Specifically, I am studying the regulation of centromere assembly and chromatin domains at normal and mutant human centromeres.
Although a Jersey girl at heart, I have come to call North Carolina ‘home’. I love being able to run or bike outdoors pretty much year-round. About a year ago I got a wonderfully crazy dog named Bernard, and so between him and lab, there's never a dull moment in my life right now.
