Greg LaMonte

Hi, my name is Greg LaMonte, and I joined the UPGG program in 2005. I am in the lab of Ashley Chi, working on the role of human RNAs in host-parasite interactions with malaria parasites. Before coming to Duke, I did my undergrad at U.C. Berkeley (Go Bears!), studying Biology and Economics (the combination doesn't make a whole lot of sense at this point). After working for a few years, I went back to get my M.S. in Biology at the University of San Francisco, where I stayed an extra year to teach Human Anatomy to nursing students. I was really drawn to Duke because of the friendly atmosphere (the faculty and students are great) and the wide range of research being done in the UPGG program.
