I’m a first year student and have rotated with David Goldstein and Mike Hauser, and am currently rotating with Joe Nevins. My research interests are in genomic sequencing to elucidate mutation-disease relationships and expression profiling of cancers. I graduated from Duke for undergrad in 2007 and joined the UPGG program because of the spectacular research being conducted and the amazingly friendly faculty. I chose to remain at Duke because I love the school (particularly the basketball team) and the area, as well as the feeling that you get from being in the program. The program feels like a big family in which students have a great deal of say in how the program is run. This feeling is helped by faculty and directors who always put students as a high priority.
